In 2024 the building that Cornerstone Baptist Church had begun renting in 2004, was sold. After accepting the role of pastor upon my husband's passing in 2020, we remained in the building for 4 more years until this purchase.
Though disappointing at first, I prayed and asked God for direction. HE reminded me that the church was not in a building but the church was in us --- and we took it with us wherever we went.
My heart's desire has always been missionary work and social justice in the community. Jesus came that we might have life and have it more abundantly. Those being treated unfairly in society, in housing, in the justice system still need the voice of the church to speak for them. HE also wants us to grow and fellowship together so we can become one church, one mind, here on earth.
HE has given me a new vision and we have been on a mission. Cornerstone Baptist is yet alive with a new design.
I am still preaching the word, with faithful members joining along as we fellowship at various churches in the community. Our present mission is to not only share the word but have a venue where others can share their testimonies, experiences, disappointments, concerns and joys in a space where they can feel heard, sheltered, encouraged and prayed for — as we study the scriptures in contemporary ways for their lives and situations today.
Join us, the Cornerstone Baptist Church Mission Circle, every 1st Sunday at 3pm at Carver Park Building on Second Street, Hackensack.
We also have Prayer Phone Conference every Saturday morning at 9am. To join the prayer conference line dial 848- 220-3300. The conference ID is 8888723.
You can also still financially support us via our Givelify page.
Everyone may not come through traditional church doors but they still want and need HOPE! There is nothing new under the sun. GOD is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
God Bless
